Our team’s shared commitment to improving people’s lives extends beyond our work to develop groundbreaking new medicines. We demonstrate this commitment through our support of patient organizations, our local communities, and each other, as well as through the way we manage our company and make decisions. Nearly half of our management team and board of directors are women, and our inclusive culture provides our diverse team the opportunity to shape our future and have a voice in key decisions.
We believe in a future where every patient can be treated with an effective medicine. Our work with patients and patient advocacy organizations like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) enables us to better understand patient needs and inform our research and clinical trials. This commitment is complemented by our engagement with patient communities outside the clinic, including at philanthropic events like LLS’s Light the Night, the annual Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Jimmy Fund Walk, and the American Cancer Society’s Bicycles Batting Cancer.
Our values reflect our commitment to improving patients’ lives and to each other, as well as underpin a culture where every employee is connected to Kymera’s mission. Our exceptional employees bring diverse perspectives and backgrounds to our work, collaborating inside and outside the lab and leading to our recognition as a “best place to work” for multiple years.
Kymera is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our annual month of service supports employees as they deliver food, prepare backpacks for schoolchildren, clean up community centers, and prepare greenhouses and fields. In 2023 alone, over 80 percent of our team volunteered more than 500 cumulative hours. Additionally, our Kymera Cares committee provides grants to local causes and organizations, as well as industry organizations like Life Science Cares. We also actively take steps to minimize waste and increase recycling to support a more sustainable environment, including providing employees composting and recycling options, a mass transit subsidy, and on-site bike storage.
